Course winner Torro Strike has a great chance here. In April The colt won a class three handicap at thirsk on Good to Firm.  The race was ran in a great time with Torro Strike enjoying a pleasing run going clear in the last 110yards and winning by 2 ¼ lengths.  He must have impressed his connections as he went straight to group level. Torro Strike likes to hear his hooves rattle and loves good ground or better. This horse really seems to dislike any cut in the ground with his worst results always coming on this surface. His last two runs were on good to soft and soft respectively which helps to explain his poor showings. His last run was in a group 2 and he was beaten in to 6 th by 3 1/4 lengths. I think the ground blunted his speed and used up his stamina too quickly as he was actually doing well at the end of the race until he ran out of energy in the final furlong trying to deal with group 2 horses like Space Blues going past him. Dropped back to group 3 on good ground or better for Sundays race his run should be superior to his last outing. Ryan Moore rides and is in good form currently with a 21% strike rate over the last 14 days that’s 6 wins from 28 runs.
