2.55 Newmarket 1m Handicap Class 4 3yo 0-85

John and Thady Gosden are in excellent form currently with a 29% win rate with 10 wins from 35 runs in the last 14 days. Their representative Zagato can add to the tally. He is sired by Frankel and gets a mile trip with no problems. He likes the predicted ground of good to firm. Three races ago he came 2nd in a class 4 by a head in a fast time then won comfortably next time out in a class 5 by 3 ¼ Lengths again in a good time. Last time he found a class 2 to hot to handle and came last. He will welcome the drop back in class and is currently running from the same official rating he won at. Robert Havlin rides and won on him last time he rode him. He has been backed to 9/2 from 11/2 already.

3.15 Thirsk 7f Handicap Class 4 3yo+ 0-85

The Roger Fell trained Admirality gets the nod here. The gelding has mainly contested class 3 and class 2 races this year coming second in a class 3 7f race by 2 lengths two runs ago carrying 1lb more than today. He was only beaten by Fridays favourite Cassy O. Cassy O has gone up 8lbs since then which should slow him down a bit! With this in mind we can see Admiral will be 9lb better off for the rematch. On his one appearance in a class 4 race this season which came 5 races ago he came second by 1 ½ lengths over 7f in a good time. He will be happy to have a drop back in class and should be able to give a good showing. There should be no problem with the ground. It will be fun to see if we can get the favourite beat. He has come in from 10’s and is as low as 11/2 with some firms

5.15 Curragh 1m1f Fillies Group 3 3yo+

The progressive Solene Lilyette looks to be a great price in this. She was always doing enough when winning a listed race earlier this month by ½ length in a good time. The race was 1m1 ½ f on good which is a tiny bit further than Friday but basically the same distance and ground. Based on this she should be able to give a good showing in a group 3. Andrew Slattery trains and rides so will be able to run the horse exactly how he feels it needs to be ran. She is a proven winner and I feel she can giveaway the 7lb to the 3 yo horses. She has come in from 10’s already

Solene Lilyette   9/1 EW 1/5 1st 4 places Betfair

5.53 Goodwood 2m Class 3 3yo+ 0-90

Mollie Phillips rides again after winning on him last time he raced. Even though he is up 3lb for winning she claims 5lb this time which make him 2lb better off than when he won last time. Be My Sea has won the last two times out racing over 2m4f and 2m1f. He had no problems with the distances and will handle good ground. He will have to step up in class to win this put with everything in his favour he stands a great chance of pulling off the hat trick.
