3.10 Beverly 5f Handicap Class 4 3yo+ 0-85
The price of James Watt seems way too big at 33/1, especially with four places available EW with some bookmakers. Although he has won on good to firm his form suggests he prefers good ground or something with a bit of cut in it.
He is a 5f specialist and beat the gritty A Pint of bear to win a class 4 in July on Good in a good time. He has not been successful since but his mark is gradually getting closer to the magic figure.
James Watt EW Skybet 33/1 1/5 1-4
3.30 Sandown 1m Listed 3yo+
Rhoscolyn looks good back on soft. He performed admirably in a group 3 last time and will welcome the drop in class back to listed level. He has never won over a mile but has been close enough on multiple occasions to deduce he probably gets that trip. He has had a great season and is a consistent performer. It is unusual for him to have a bad run.
James Doyle rides and has won on him before so knows what needs to be done.
This a tough race and he will have to be on top of his game but he looks a good ew bet
Rhoscolyn EW William Hill 15/2 1/5 1-3
5.10 Sandown 1m2f Handicap Class 5 3yo 0-70
Horston ran well on his handicap debut but was still a little green. He won a class 6 at Lingfield over 1m3 ½ f winning on good to soft in a decent time.
He is only up 3lbs and that really should not be enough to slow him down. He will handle the rise in class. As he ran that bit green last time he is likely to improve again.
Horston Win Ladbrokes 3/1
